Sunday side keep it clean as Ladyswell make it Two in a row

Bosna Fc 0 v 1 Ladyswell Utd Fc (A)
Stephen Hand 23’
-
Ladyswell would travel to the Phoenix Park today for the first time this season to face another new addition to the Leinster football League in Bosna Fc . Ladyswell would be forced into a change of colour as Bosna would be wearing yellow and blue.
-
The wind swept Phoenix park would not aid either side with the wind sweeping across the pitch. It was the away side who started the better with David Farrell almost converting an early opportunity. Bosna seemed to settle a lot better and began to get the ball down and play from left to right.
-
Ladyswell took their time and settled quite well after the two teams had got the feel for one another and when Stephen Hand broke free down the left and twisted and turned three Bosna players and his strong intended pull back ended up in the net.
-
Shortly after Stephen Hand and David Farrell combined once again and an amazing shot was tipped onto the crossbar by the Bosna goalkeeper. The star of the show for Ladyswell was their goalkeeper who pulled off an amazing save after a questionably close offside was not giving. Ladyswell David Moran in goal had once again been called on but Moran was in no humour to lose his clean sheet record.
-
Just before half-time Ladyswell should have been two nil up when Moloney, Hand, Farrel and Nolan combined and Samual Nevin fizzed a ball just over the Bosna bar. Ladyswell would go in at half time both fortunate to be 1 v 0 up but also unlucky not to be further ahead.
-
The second half seen Lady swell a little bit on the back foot but after superb challenges by Declan Burke and Christopher Mc Entaggart was denying the home side from getting back in the game. Once again Ladyswells back four were under pressure and John Walsh once again as in the first half got himself in the right place to clear the ball off the line.
-
Once again the star of the show the second half was Ladyswell’s goalkeeper David Moran who was quicker then Usain Bolt off his line to close down the Bosna striker and made a great bloke with his chest a good distance outside his box.
-
Ladyswell’s Mark O’Donnell and Darren Donnelly were immense in the middle of the park and won almost every ball in the air despite being towered over by the home sides midfield. Going forward the away side gave as much as the got and should have been two nil to the good when Sam Nevin found substitute Oisin Doyle in space he flicked onto Farrell who was denied by the hand of the grateful keeper.
-
As the game was coming to a close Mick Wilders replaced a tired looking Moloney with Mark Pearce and also replaced an equally tired Mark O’Donnell with Graham O’Kelly. Mark Pearce was called into action straight away as the home side continued to push on for the equalizer but time was not on their side as Ladyswell held out for another three points and a well earned second clean sheet.
