An Open Letter from The Board

Dear All,
-
First off all we would like to take this chance to welcome Kevin, Stuart and the new Saturday team and we would also like to welcome Dermot Ennis, Keith Clarke and their under nineteen’s on board. A special welcome to Mick Loftus who has taken charge of the Saturday team while Michael Wilders and Mark Moloney will look after the Sunday team.
-
The Committee wish all the managers and players all the best of luck for the up and coming season and would like to extend a very warm welcome back to Colly Moran.
-
We are looking forward to a very good season in the league and please god we might follow up our very good pre-season tournament and win one or two trophies in the league. Everybody has put in a lot of hard work in pre-season training to be ready for the 2010/2011 season.
-
This brings us onto the winter training program. This year we will be training together as groups and individually as teams which are as follows:
-
Saturday A and Saturday B will do spinning classes together on a Monday 8-9.
Saturday A will play astro on Wednesday in Coolmine from 8 to 9 on pitch 1.
Saturday B will play on Thursday in Ladyswell from 8 to 9.
-
The Sunday team and the under nineteen’s will do spinning on Tuesday at 8 to 9
The under nineteen’s will play astro in Ladyswell from 7 to 8 on Thursdays
The Sunday team on Friday in Corduff pitch No,1 from 8 to 9.
-
We believe (the committee) that this is the best option for the winter and gives a good balance of fitness and football in the winter, but if anybody has any other ideas please feel free to contact any committee member. The spinning classes will take place in the National Aquatic Centre and will go from spinning, to box fitness, and cardio training to keep it entertaining during the winter.
-
Also all players are entitled to use the pool and changing facility showers etc, in the aquatic centre after each session and we would encourage all players to take full advantage of these top of the range facilities.
-
We hope everybody enjoys the training but running this program carries a huge cost to the club so we will ask each player to pay 5 euro at the aquatic centre and the club will pay for the costs of the instructors and for all the teams astro turfs.
-
The club can only do this as long as all players pay there subs week in week out as the cost of pre season training hits 285 euros per week so it is extremely important that we all pay our subs other wise the club cannot facilitate the training program. Also can all players please have there registration fees paid as soon as possible.
-
Best of luck again for the season and we hope everyone enjoys playing for Ladyswell United Football Club
-
Yours Sincerely

The board of Ladyswell United
