Decimated Ladyswell Falter in the Park

Frankford 4 v 0 Ladyswell Sunday
-
Ladyswell manager Michael Wilders had absolutely no problem picking a team for his sides Sheeran cup game away to Major division side Frankford, as his decimated side turned up with just eleven men. The away side started brightly and had a wonderful opportunity as Martin White pulled his shot wide of the Frankford goal. It was 10 minutes in before the home side had their first opportunity which was headed clear by the returning captain Christopher McEntaggart.
-
It was the away side who would take the lead before the break when a headed goal left Moloney stranded but the Ladyswell keeper was called on again when a shot from 30 yards had to be pushed over his bar. Ladyswell had their opportunities with David Farrell in the middle of the park pulling the strings and almost set away Sam Nevin who shot just wide.
-
Ladyswell came out the second half and although a goal down they continued to play the ball along the ground and where looking the better side but it was the major division side who extended their lead a stinging shot from 20 yards that although a diving Moloney could not keep out.
-
The third goal came shortly after and from that point Ladyswell tried to push on and get something from the game and in doing so were left slightly exposed but although they conceded a forth late on the away side deserved something from the game. It would be fair to say that the busier of the two keepers in the second half was Ladyswell's but throughout the game the away side continued to try to pass the ball with David Farrell and Graham O'Kelly pulling the strings.
-
Ladyswell will take some positives from the game although the scoreline seemed heavy the side performed well and no player left the pitch without giving 100%.
